Peanut Tofu Satay Recipe
Here’s an easy recipe that works great on the grill or in the oven!
Take one block of extra firm tofu and cut into 1 inch x 1 inch long sticks. Marinade overnight in soy sauce, or at least 2-4 hours.
Before cooking, create your peanut sauce:
-1/4 cup agave
-3/4 cup water
-1/2 cup peanut butter powder, or 3/4 cup natural (unsweetened) peanut butter
2 T rice wine vinegar
After marinating, skewer the tofu sticks end to end and place on a preheated grill to about 400F, or similarly prepared oven on bake. After about 5 minutes, rotate your skewers and brush on your marinade. Bake for 5 minutes, and continue to rotate for about 20-25 minutes of total cooking time.
For the last few minutes of tofu cooking, try placing whole Romaine lettuce leaves on the grill. Remove from heat and place your tofu skewers on top. We recommend you serve with our Asian Ginger Slaw!
